The Prisoner Erased 2017 is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. The wine offers fresh acidity wrapped in cream, punctuated by lively bubbles. Erased has fresh aromas of lemon curd and green apple which meld with warm toasted coconut, biscotti and buttery almond shortbread.

About the Winery
In 2000, Dave Phinney founded the Prisoner Wine Company in St. Helena, California. Phinney would sell the winery to Huneeus Vintners in 2010. In 2016 Huneeus Vintners sold the winery to Constellation Brands, which is the parent company of Robert Mondavi Winery along with 50% ownership of Opus One.

Tobin’s Review 3 out of 5
The Prisoner Erased 2017 has a light creamy hay hue with active bubbles. The Sparkling Wine has light floral and creamy vanilla biscuit aromas. I pick up flavors of Granny Smith apples, pear and citrus. Overall it’s an average Sparkling Wine, I would opt to put my money elsewhere.
