Description:
Clos du Château de Bligny Brut Cuvee 6 Cepages is a harmonious blend of the 6 Champagne grape varietals. The Champagne has a pale golden hue and a delicate, scented nose. It is well-structured, powerful and lively on the palate, with dominant mineral flavors.
About the Winery
Château de Bligny was built in 1773. The Château would change hands a few times until it was purchased by Baron de Cachard in 1907. Cachard would gain notoriety for his Champagnes, but during World War II they were forced to leave the Château. Today the Rapeneau owns the Château and carries on the tradition of Baron de Cachard’s fine Champagnes.
Tobin’s Review 4 out of 5
Clos du Château de Bligny Brut Cuvee 6 Cepages has a light apricot hue with a creamy nose. I pick-up hints of maple with soft caramel and apple flavors. The Champagne finishes with a nice light citrus finish. Overall, it’s a very nice Champagne.
