Pinotage wines are light to medium-bodied wines that combine the tastes of cherry fruit with an earthy tone. These wines are light and fruity, which make them very drinkable during warm weather.
Pinotage is a South African grape that was born in 1925, by crossing the Pinot Noir with the Cinsaut grape. The grape was finally used in wine in 1959.
