Description:
Carmenere wines have a deep crimson color and flavorings of cherry and fruit flavor, hints of spicy and earth notes, dark chocolate, tobacco and leather. These wines have soft tannins and are meant to be enjoyed young.
The Carmenere grape originally planted in the Medoc region of Bordeaux, France where it was used to produce deep colored red wines. Now the Carmenere grape is used for blending wines as well as producing it’s namesake wine in the Central Valley of Chile.
