Description:
ROCO The Stalker Pinot Noir 2014 is produced in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Winemaker Rollin Soles ferments whole Pinot Noir berries mixed with grape stalks, not whole clusters. The wine retains richness and texture with stalk derived spicy and bold that compliments rather than dominates the ripe Pinot Noir fruit. They produced 864 cases of this wine.

About the Winery
ROCO winery is owned by Rollin Soles and his wife Corby Stonebraker-Soles. Rollin cofounded Argyle winery before he and his wife turned their attention to Wits’ End Vineyard in 2001. In 2003, they produced their first vintage of Private Stash Pinot Noir. In 2009, the Soles built ROCO its own winery and added the tasting room in 2012.

Tobin’s Review 3 out of 5
ROCO The Stalker Pinot Noir 2014 has a nice light purple hue with aromas of robust cherry. I find the wine to be nice and light with flavors of cherry tart. It is light and fruity, but not that crisp.

Jeanine’s Review 3 out of 5
ROCO The Stalker Pinot Noir 2014 has aromas of cherry. I pick up the cherries flavors in the wine, although it’s neither a light or complex wine. I find it to be a little dry post-palate.
