Description:
Bridlewood Pinot Noir 2009 strikes a perfect balance between fresh fruit flavors of dark berry and deep notes of vanilla and caramel. This Pinot Noir has rich intense flavors offering notes of raspberry, black cherry and subtle oak which rounds out with silky tannins and a firm acidity which provides for a smooth texture and long finish. While Bridlewood Estate Winery is located in Santa Ynez, they get their grapes from Monterey County. Moneterey County’s soil is chalky and sandy with limestone deposits, which is similar to the well-renown Burgundy region in France.
Tobin’s Review 4 out of 5
Bridlewood Pinot Noir 2009 has a rich fruity aroma. I smell dark cherry on the nose. The wine bursts with cherry and oak with a caramel aftertaste which is smooth and long on the palate. I enjoyed this wine as I thought it was nice, but it was definitely heavier than your average Pinot Noir.
Jeanine’s Review 2 out of 5
I found Bridlewood Pinot Noir 2009 to be rather acidic in taste. I don’t think it is a very fruity wine, although I taste cherry but really don’t care for this wine. I enjoy a lighter Pinot Noir which is one reason I might not have enjoyed this one.
