Meiomi Pinot Noir 2018 has a rich garnet color with a ruby edge. The wine opens to a fruity aromas of strawberry, jammy fruity, mocha, vanilla and toasty oak notes. The flavors on the palate are boysenberry, blackberry, dark cherry, strawberry, toasty mocha and a hint of oak.

About the Winery
Meiomi Wine was founded in 2007 by Joe Wagner (son of Chuck Wagner who was proprietor of Caymus Vineyards in Napa. Joe’s first vintage of Pinot Noir was released in 2007 and the company saw quick growth. In 2014 Meiomi began to release their Chardonnay and in the following year Constellation Brands bought them out for $315-million dollars. Constellation Brands own the brand and source their grapes from Sonoma, Monterey and Santa Barbara.

In 2000, Dave Phinney founded the Prisoner Wine Company in St. Helena, California. Phinney would sell the winery to Huneeus Vintners in 2010. In 2016 Huneeus Vintners sold the winery to Constellation Brands, which is the parent company of Robert Mondavi Winery along with 50% ownership of Opus One.

Syndrome Rosé 2019 has a rose gold hue with aromas of candied apple. The wine is soft and dry with flavors of raspberry, cranberry and cherry followed by hints of melon. The finish is very dry and raspberry is the predominant flavor in this wine.

Nikola Nobilo and his family began planting grapes in Huapai, New Zealand in 1943. Nikola came to head the Nobilo Vintners, and they became one of New Zealand’s largest winemakers. In 1988 they purchased Selaks and two years later were acquired by BRL Hardy, Australia’s largest winemaker. In 2003, BRL Hardy merged with Constellation Wines who helps their distribution throughout New Zealand, Australia, Europe and the Americas.
