Description:
Valravn Pinot Noir 2018 has lush dark cherry, ripe strawberry and hints of rose petals on the nose. The palate has rich fruit compote and hints of cedar spice alongside Sebastopol fruit.

About the Winery
In 2014, Baron Ziegler founded Valravn wine in Sonoma County. They source their grapes from a network of friends and colleagues that includes vineyard owners, growers and winemaker. Valravn produces Chardonnay, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Valravn’s 2018 Pinot Noir has a plum hue with a nice sweet cherry fruit aroma. I taste notes of cherry and plum, but the wine is very acidic. Overall it’s not smooth or well-balanced, it definitely wasn’t one of my favorites.
