Steeplechase’s Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 has a dark blackberry hue with aromas of mint, leather and musty earth. The wine is a soft Cabernet Sauvignon with flavors of raspberry, mushroom, sage and slight oak. Overall it’s a cheap red wine, but drinkable.

Steeplechase’s Chardonnay 2018 was part of a gift basket that I received over the Christmas holidays. I really didn’t have high hopes for the wine, as it looked like a cheap Chardonnay. Unfortunately that is exactly how it tasted- cheap. The wine had a pale hay hue with a little creaminess on the nose. I honestly couldn’t pickup any fruit notes, as it smelled as fragrant as a glass of water. The wine was soft on the tongue with notes of apple and a heavy creamy finish. Overall it was not a very good wine and it will be the last time I drink Steeplechase Chardonnay.
