South African wines-
The most common wine grape variety in South Africa is Chenin Blanc, locally referred to as Steen. These wines tend to be medium-dry to semi-sweet. With this being said, there are is production of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Shiraz.
