About the Winery
In 1975 Cecil and Christine DeLoach originally founded DeLoach Vineyards in the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County California. The winery ran into financial difficulties in 2001 and filed for Chapter-11 bankruptcy in 2003. The Boisset family came in from Burgundy, France and purchased DeLoach. DeLoach excels in Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and Chardonnay but does produce other varietals as well.

DeLoach’s 2008 Pinot Noir is a light colored Pinot Noir. The aroma is fruity with a fruity beginning and a vanilla finish. This is a very smooth wine.

DeLoach’s 2008 Pinot Noir has a fruity aroma which I like. I can pick up hints of cherry in both the aroma and flavor of the wine. I cannot pick up the taste outside of the fruit, but I tend to feel that has a little bit of an herb flavor.
