Complex dark berry aromas highlighted with delicate black pepper and toasted notes. Well-integrated tannins, round velvety body and a long, persistent finish. The wine has oaky notes that are the result of aging 50% of the wine in oak barrels for 12-months, which are combines with 50% of the wine that is unaged in oak. About the Winery In 1870 San Juan&#8217;s first vineyard was founded by Santiago Graffigna, an Italian immigrant. 15-years later Santiago used the railway to sell his wine and became one of the first in Argentina to establish a brand of wine. Since 1885 Graffigna has grown and received many accolades as well as still producing wines. Tobin&#8217;s Review- 3.5 out of 5 Graffigna Centenario Malbec Reserve 2010 has a nice fruity aroma, in which I pick up the smell of cherries.
